Why do so many of our kids become High Academic Achievers?

The reasons are accountability, goal setting, and positive & encouraging
reminders from someone other than their own Mom and Dad.

Think about it, when you were a kid, you were more likely to help clean
your neighbor's garage than your own.

Most kids will listen to their Martial Arts instructor with respect and attention
that will equal or sometimes be even greater than listening to their own parents.

Especially if their instructor uses their next belt or stripe as a reward for doing
well in school or cleaning their room, doing chores at home, etc...

Anytime I see a child's report card, one of the first things I always ask them is
what their favorite subject is. It usually coincides with their best grade and often
it happens to be their favorite teacher.

If there is ever a grade that is below par, they usually tell me their teacher doesn't like team or some other reason. The moment we are able to team up to influence their attitude toward the teacher or the subject, their grades improve.
